Moncton to Charlottetown (May 4, 2011)

This was another short drive but the main attraction was crossing almost 13km long Confederation Bridge to get to Prince Edward Island. Just before the bridge there was a roundabout on the main highway which was strange. On the bridge the speed limit is 80kmph and takes about 10 minutes to cross it. When driving to the island, you do not pay the toll. It is only charged when you are heading for the main land. There was a little town on the PEI side once you cross the bridge and that gives you opportunity to take some pictures of the beautiful structure.

Island of PEI is very red due to all the red soil from red sandstone everywhere. There is also purple conglomerates other than sandstone. Charlottetown is a seasonal city and it was hard to find a cheap motel at this time of year. After a nice walking along the water front I found a decent seafood restaurant. While I was in Saskatchewan, on the tour schedule of Hey Rosetta it said they were playing at Hunter's Ale House. I had to go there first of all because of Hey Rosetta and second because of the name. Everything is as sweet in this town as the name itself. I love being here and tomorrow I will be in Halifax but not sure yet how exactly I will be going there.
